TSL Contractors Ltd is a thriving Construction Company based in Argyll & the islands. Originally incorporated in 1979 as Torosay Sandpit Ltd, we were Mull and Iona’s first source of processed aggregates. In 1982, we added the supply of ready-mix concrete to our activities and since that time, the company has continued to develop its activities to now offer a comprehensive range of construction activities.

We now cover three main sectors: Building & Civil Engineering, Road Haulage, and the supply of processed Quarry Materials and Ready-mix Concrete. We operate from several bases on the mainland as well as the Isle of Mull. All these sectors are all closely inter-linked, so that they all support and sustain each other and ensure that we have the ability to offer a service that is second to none.

In 2002, we expanded our quarry and ready-mix operation with the acquisition of a mainland depot, and successfully ran this for 5 years, after which the decision was taken to sell to Ennstone Thistle Ltd, with whom we now work very closely. Attention could then be focused on the construction and civil engineering division, which has seen considerable expansion over the last few years. The hard work has obviously paid off, as we are now approved contractors for such public bodies as Scottish Water, Argyll & Bute Council and Scottish & Southern Energy, as well as a framework contractor for West Highland Housing Association.

In some of the most logistically demanding locations in the country, our expertise, resources and experience have enabled us to complete a variety of prestigious contracts both in the islands and in surrounding mainland areas.
