Originally we only operated HGV's for the delivery of our own quarry products and transportation of our own plant, but we have succeeded in developing our haulage sector substantially over the last ten years or so. We now operate seven articulated LGV's and have a wide range of trailers allowing us to provide the following:

Round timber haulage
Flat bed haulage
Low-loader transportation
Bulk haulage
Heavy haulage
Crane Trailers

The ferry is the main obstacle with the haulage sector, and obviously for it to run effectively and economically, it is imperative for us to secure loads in both directions. Most of our outward traffic is made up of timber haulage with backloads to the island being mainly building materials and house kits. The majority of our contracts are based around Central Scotland and the North of England, but we now have a second haulage base at Marine Resource Centre, Barcaldine allowing us to quote for haulage throughout the whole of the UK.
